i was just waiting at the red light
twisting my fingers moving forward when i felt my
my phone was blowing up my pocket like a landmine
supervisor was calling for the 8th time
he said you're fired fuck you and left my face red
and i remember the saying my old friend said
you're only ever 10 digits on a keypad
and one bad argument from calling in a bomb threat
get away little sister
from the world today
it'll get you if you're in the way
little sister its a promise made
wouldn't trick you
and right behind me at the light there was a state cop
he saw the sticker on my car that says i hate cops
and he was thinking i was i should run this fuckers plates up
but he was mostly thinking donuts and a cake pop
get away little sister
from the world today
it'll get you if you're in the way
little sister its a promise made
wouldn't trick you
this world is out to get you
don't let world forget you

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
